Axians and Actemium Join Forces with Fieldbit to Win the VINCI 2017 Innovation Award for Digital Transformation
Hod Hasharon, Israel, December 18, 2017 – Fieldbit, a leader in real-time augmented reality and knowledge capture solutions for field services, announced that it has won, together with its partners Axians and Actemium (Vinci Energies), the Digital Transformation prize at the VINCI 2017 Innovation Awards ceremony in France. This worldwide bi-annual competition is designed to showcase and encourage the application of technical initiatives by VINCI Group companies.
Following the selection of 150 outstanding projects in the regional competitions, 15 first prize-winners in various categories were named at the final ceremony. Axians and Actemium were awarded the Digital Transformation prize for their innovative use of Fieldbit’s augmented reality field service collaboration platform – aka Fieldbit Hero – to improve the service and productivity of their enterprise customers.
Axians is using Fieldbit Hero to enable fast time-to-repair and prevent downtime of its customers’ production equipment. “With Fieldbit, fixes are much quicker and the cost is much lower for our customers, so customer satisfaction is really high,” said Raymond Janssen, Sales and Operation Manager at Axians Technical Systems.
Actemium is leveraging Fieldbit Hero’s augmented reality and object recognition capabilities to allow experts in the control room to see what the technician sees, ensuring an accurate problem diagnosis. Using augmented reality, Fieldbit Hero enables the expert to superimpose easy-to-understand visual step-by-step instructions and real-time data from control systems in the technician’s field of view as he works on the equipment fix. Experts use a secure Fieldbit web portal to communicate with remote on-site technicians equipped with a mobile device or smart glasses. In addition, Fieldbit Hero helps organizations preserve the practical field services knowledge of their workforce by organically capturing the knowledge created during the service process. “The Fieldbit platform helps our customers to improve their industrial performance. It is a unique solution in the world of industrial maintenance!” said Michiel Kaelen, Business Unit Manager Industrial Services at Actemium.
“We are proud that Fieldbit’s partners have been recognized for their use of our cutting-edge augmented reality and knowledge capture solutions for field services,” said Evyatar Meiron, CEO of Fieldbit. “Harnessing our platform’s innovative technologies, Axians and Actemium are helping to change and improve the way industrial machines are serviced, increasing machine uptime and enhancing customer satisfaction.”
